Patrick J. Pollard has been advising corporations and their principals for nearly 20 years and has been an active investor in numerous corporations. In addition to his role as General Partner of Red Barn Investments, Mr. Pollard currently serves as President and Managing Director of BlueStar Ventures, an early stage venture capital fund based in Chicago.
Previously, Mr. Pollard worked as an investment banker for 12 years, concentrating on corporate mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Pollard has advised clients and closed transactions throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia. Most recently, he managed the Chicago corporate finance office of ABN AMRO Incorporated until 2000, when he formed BlueStar.
Mr. Pollard has served on several Boards of Directors and currently serves on the Boards of CoreXchange, Inc., NetNearU Corp., Prime Visibility Media Group and SCO Logistics, Inc. Mr. Pollard holds an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a BS in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
